OYSTER M30 Project Meeting –3 July 2020

Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic the OYSTER Project had its 30-month meeting as virtual meeting using Microsoft Teams online platform. The meeting was led by the Project Coordinator, Dr. Eng. Marco Sebastiani, from the University “Roma Tre“, who shared the news about the recognition the OYSTER Project has received from the European Commission, as a “Success Story”, through the publication of an article in their website.

A general update of the progress of the project was given by the Project Coordinator. All OYSTER partners presented an overview of each Work Package progress, achieved results and future plans.

   

Oyster is part of the Zenodo Community

The Oyster Project in Zenodo, have made available forms and information related to CHADA. This is a novel approach for the definition of terminology, classification and metadata for materials characterization methods, where the main purpose is to arrive to a standard structure for representing materials characterization data.

Oyster Project in the Italian NEWS!!!

The OYSTER project was highlighted during the evening news slot of RAI1 (the first and main TV channel in Italy)  aired on the 17 June 2019.

The news segment was about “smart surfaces”, and OYSTER was selected for the great results the project has already achieved in terms of optimized materials and surfaces. The project coordinator, Prof. Marco Sebastiani from University “Roma Tre”,(Italy) was interviewed for this segment.

The RAI1 evening news are shown LIVE around the entire world, with a wide audience of around 5.5 Million people in Italy (share 25%).

OYSTER participation at the EMCC workshop – EuroNanoForum 2019

At the EuroNanoForum 2019 EMCC workshop the Oyster project team members Dr Bojan Boskovic from Cambridge Nanomaterials Technology Ltd (CNT), Prof Costas A. Charitidis from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and Dr Elias P. Koumoulos from Innovation in Research and Engineering Solutions (IRES) have facilitated an interactive discussion session about mapping characterisation needs and identified actions related to development of the Oyster Open Innovation Environment (OIE).

 

   

Oyster Project M12 Meeting – Freiburg, Germany

Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials (IWM) hosted the last 6-monthly review meeting of the Oyster Project, on the 15th & 16th November. Members of all partners had a very fruitful meeting, which included presentations on progress across all work packages and a tour of Fraunhofer labs.
