OYSTER Project nominated for Standards + Innovation Awards

The OYSTER Project has received a nomination for the Standards + Innovation Awards, organised by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC).
CEN and CENELEC launched the Standards+Innovation Awards in 2019, to acknowledge the important contribution of research and innovation to standardization and celebrating the contributions of researchers, innovators and entrepreneurs to standardization. Nominations for these awards comes from the CEN and CENELEC national members of the 34 EU Member States, candidate countries and EFTA Members.

OYSTER M30 Project Meeting –3 July 2020

Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic the OYSTER Project had its 30-month meeting as virtual meeting using Microsoft Teams online platform. The meeting was led by the Project Coordinator, Dr. Eng. Marco Sebastiani, from the University “Roma Tre“, who shared the news about the recognition the OYSTER Project has received from the European Commission, as a “Success Story”, through the publication of an article in their website.

A general update of the progress of the project was given by the Project Coordinator. All OYSTER partners presented an overview of each Work Package progress, achieved results and future plans.


EU recognises the OYSTER Project as a success story

PhD in Metrology at Politecnico di Torino – Deadline 14 May 2020

The Italian National Metrology Institute INRiMis a public research institution, acting as the National Metrology Institute of Italy and doing research in engineering, nanotechnology and life sciences. The INRiM coordinates, together with Politecnico di Torino, a PhD programme in Metrology (http://dottorato.polito.it/mlg/en/overview) with many interesting research proposals. The next deadline for application is 14 May 2020.

Oyster is part of the Zenodo Community

The Oyster Project in Zenodo, have made available forms and information related to CHADA. This is a novel approach for the definition of terminology, classification and metadata for materials characterization methods, where the main purpose is to arrive to a standard structure for representing materials characterization data.

Oyster Project Meeting –20-21 June 2019, Athens, Greece

National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) hosted the M18 Project meeting on the 20th and 21st June. This was an opportunity for the Oyster partners to meet the new Project Officer (Dr Yanaris Ortega García), to discuss their work and shared an overview of each WP achieved results.

Oyster Project in the Italian NEWS!!!

The OYSTER project was highlighted during the evening news slot of RAI1 (the first and main TV channel in Italy)  aired on the 17 June 2019.

The news segment was about “smart surfaces”, and OYSTER was selected for the great results the project has already achieved in terms of optimized materials and surfaces. The project coordinator, Prof. Marco Sebastiani from University “Roma Tre,(Italy) was interviewed for this segment.

The RAI1 evening news are shown LIVE around the entire world, with a wide audience of around 5.5 Million people in Italy (share 25%).
